Vrajesh Modashiya: A Journey
Kem Cho?
The above phrase may be unknown to some of you. That is how programming first felt like. It was like an unknown language that did not make any sense to me.
I started programming in python which was very easy. The commands were almost similar to English. Then came the idea of making a website. I thought that with python I could do anything, but I was so wrong. Python was great and all but had to be used alongside other programming languages.
I started making websites using HTML. It was like a human silhouette. Empty no life or meaning in it. I started practicing websites for myself, but they were never as good as Google or Youtube.
That is when I discovered CSS. A programming language that would give my silhouette life, make it a living being and give it meaning. I learnt that CSS would make my websites look good, look professional like Youtube and Google.
I started publishing my lively websites onto the internet. After a few months of advertising, a friend of mine told me “Vrajesh, your websites need interactions, animations, a brain of their own. They are so boring.” That is when I learnt that JavaScript existed.
JavaScript: a programming language that is one of the core technologies of the World Wide Web, alongside HTML and CSS. As of 2023, 98.7% of websites use JavaScript
Javascript was not an easy thing to learn, especially because of its complicated syntax. Since I started learning with Python, Javascript seemed overly complicated to me, not only because I had to learn it to prove someone wrong, but also because I was not going to use it anywhere else. Or so I thought… I did not know that JavaScript was used almost everywhere.
The app you got this link from was made using JavaScript. The button you pressed to get to this page was also made using JavaScript. The browser you used and the last app you used also contained JavaScript in them. So JavaScript was a very important language.
JavaScript was like the missing piece to the website. It enabled users to interact with the website. It gave the website movement, sensitivity, and adaptation skills. It was like the ink to a pen, paper to a printer, and like wheels to a car. My website was simply useless without it.
